ARC Journal (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a reading tracker built for Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) reviewers. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.
Information We Collect
When you create an account and use ARC Journal, we collect:
- Account information: your email address and password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase; we never see or store your raw password), or your name and email if you sign in with Google.
- Profile information: display name, bio, avatar image, favorite genres, and ARC platforms you choose to add.
- Content you create: the books you track, reading status, notes, review drafts, ratings, and review links.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to operate ARC Journal: to authenticate you, to store and display your library and profile, and to show you the stats and reminders the app provides. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Third-Party Services
ARC Journal is built on top of a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Supabase: authentication, database, and file storage (avatar uploads).
- Google: if you choose “Continue with Google” to sign in, Google shares your name and email with us per OAuth.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the app to function and is not used for tracking or advertising.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us below.
Children’s Privacy
ARC Journal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
